Today is the commemoration of Bataille de Vertières, which was the last major battle of the Haitian Revolution, and the final part of the Revolution under Jean Jacques Dessalines fought in 1803. I wanted to celebrate the occasion by talking about 3 historical facts about Haiti that I think make us so unique. Hope you learn something new!
