Happy Are The Hurting

🔥 Happy Are the Hurting –

In this deeply comforting message, David Jeremiah unpacks one of the most powerful paradoxes in Scripture: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)

While the world teaches us to avoid pain at all costs, Jesus teaches the opposite—true happiness can be found in the midst of sorrow. This message reveals how God uses seasons of grief, loss, and brokenness to draw us closer to Him and produce lasting spiritual strength.

God blesses the brokenhearted.
There is a special blessing reserved for those who grieve—God meets them personally in their pain.
Happiness is not based on circumstances.
True joy is internal and spiritual, not dependent on what’s happening around you.
Mourning leads to comfort.
When you bring your sorrow to God, He replaces it with peace and healing.
Pain has purpose.
God can turn sorrow into satisfaction and use it to shape your character and faith.
God draws closest in suffering.
Often, it’s in your lowest moments that you experience His presence the strongest.

Jaggy and Tedi stay close when things aren’t right—they don’t run away, they draw near. That’s the lesson for us: when you’re hurting, don’t pull away from God—lean into Him. That’s where the comfort is.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” — Psalm 34:18

Hurt is not the end of your story—it’s often where God begins His deepest work.
If you’re hurting today, take heart… your comfort is already on the way.

Peace in the pain. 🔥
