England take series lead against India after dramatic win | Newcastle working on Ekitike deal | Are Chelsea ready for title challenge?

Rob Jones is joined by The Independent's Chief Football Writer, Miguel Delaney, and The Athletic's Football Correspondent, David Ornstein to discuss the leading sporting stories from the back pages. England’s dramatic third Test win against India at Lord’s dominates the majority as the hosts narrowly won by 22 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. Newcastle’s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike progressed further on Monday as talks between the two clubs are reported to have taken place in recent days. The duo also react to Chelsea’s Club World Cup success against Paris Saint-Germain and ask whether they are ready to challenge for the top honours next season.
