Creative Business Strategy & An Exciting Announcement!

This is the same process we use to lead our community of Artists and Makers through the Creative Business Strategy Sessions we host each year in January. When it comes to setting goals, the key is focus. As creatives, we’re full of ideas, but learning to strengthen our focus muscle is essential. One way to do this is by keeping a running list—like a Google Doc—where you regularly capture ideas instead of acting on them immediately. When it’s time to plan, you can revisit your list and prioritize what truly matters.

This is exactly why we host Creative Business Strategy Sessions at HUNT & GATHER each quarter. Our first session of the year is all about setting priorities, and the following three are for tracking progress, gaining accountability, and adjusting as needed…

At the start of the year, we begin with a brain dump—getting all our ideas out, refining our list, and narrowing it down to our top 10 priorities for the coming months or years. From there, we rank them by urgency and identify our top three priorities.

If you’re struggling to decide, ask yourself:

• Which goals will have the biggest impact on my life and business?
• Do certain goals need to happen first to unlock others?
