Hr: Jutro je bilo mirno u Splitu.
En: The morning was calm in Split.

Hr: Proljetno sunce nježno je obasjavalo gradske ulice.
En: The spring sun gently illuminated the city streets.

Hr: U bolnici se osjećalo uzbuđenje, ali i tišina, kao da svaka soba nosi svoje tajne.
En: In the hospital, there was a sense of excitement mixed with silence, as if each room held its own secrets.

Hr: Marin je sjedio u čekaonici, oči uprte u pod, ali misli daleko od tamo.
En: Marin sat in the waiting room, eyes fixed on the floor, but his thoughts far from there.

Hr: Promatrao je Ivanu, svoju voljenu suprugu, koja je ležala u krevetu.
En: He watched Ivana, his beloved wife, who was lying in bed.

Hr: Bila je hrabra.
En: She was brave.

Hr: Smiješila se i šalila s medicinskom sestrom, no Marin je znao da iza tog smijeha krije strah.
En: She smiled and joked with the nurse, but Marin knew that behind that smile lay fear.

Hr: "Kako si, ljubavi?
En: "How are you, my love?"

Hr: " upitao je Marin, nastojeći održati glas stabilnim.
En: Marin asked, attempting to keep his voice steady.

Hr: Ivana mu je uputila osmijeh koji je poznavao, pun ljubavi, ali pomalo tužan.
En: Ivana gave him a smile he recognized, full of love, but slightly sad.

Hr: "Bit će sve u redu," rekla je nježno, kao da uvjerava njega, a ne sebe.
En: "Everything will be okay," she said gently, as if reassuring him, not herself.

Hr: Marin je znao da je došlo vrijeme za istinu.
En: Marin knew it was time for the truth.

Hr: "Ivana, i meni je teško," priznao je, osjetivši kako mu glas lagano drhti.
En: "Ivana, it's hard for me too," he admitted, feeling his voice tremble slightly.

Hr: "Ali želim da znaš da sam ovdje uz tebe.
En: "But I want you to know that I'm here with you.

Hr: Da se ne moraš pretvarati.
En: You don't have to pretend."

Hr: "Ivana je pogleda iznenađeno.
En: Ivana looked at him in surprise.

Hr: Njegova iskrenost dirnula ju je.
En: His honesty moved her.

Hr: "Bojim se, zaista se bojim," rekla je tiho.
En: "I am afraid, truly afraid," she said quietly.

Hr: "Ali želim vjerovati da će sve biti dobro.
En: "But I want to believe that everything will be fine.

Hr: I osjećam se bolje kad si uz mene.
En: And I feel better when you're with me."

Hr: "U tom trenutku, oboje su osjetili olakšanje.
En: In that moment, both felt relief.

Hr: Kao da je taj teret koji su nosili sada podijeljen.
En: As if the burden they carried was now shared.

Hr: Marin je primio Ivaninu ruku.
En: Marin took Ivana's hand.

Hr: "Ivana mu je stisnula ruku, a zatim je s osmijehom ušla unutar operacijske dvorane, osjetivši mir u srcu koji je dolazio iz njihove povezanosti.
En: Ivana squeezed his hand, and then entered the operating room with a smile, feeling a peace in her heart coming from their connection.
