Builder Series Episode 18 - Austin Terry

Austin Terry grew up in a family where the car scene wasn’t a hobby, it was a lifestyle. His grandpa’s ’46 Ford Super Deluxe was the first spark, and by the time Austin was 14, he was handed a ’52 Ford of his own — a car he swapped motors in more times that first year than most people do in a decade.

Right out of high school, Austin opened his own shop. He walks us through the evolution of that shop, how it grew, how it changed, and why he eventually sold it to get back to what truly matters to him: working on old cars in his own space, at his own pace.

Austin is stepping into the Outlaw Class for the High Class Trash Invitational, and he breaks down his plans for his 1924 Model T Sedan — a build with no rules, no limits, and all creativity. Matt and Austin dig into why the Outlaw Class fits him perfectly after years of competing in build‑offs with strict time and budget caps.

He also shares some favorites from his fleet:

His grandpa’s ’46 Ford — the one he’ll never let go
The Dirt Digger, and the story that makes it special

Austin gives us the inside scoop on what’s coming next on his YouTube channel — including a future Family Rig build and several projects waiting their turn in the shop.
