Jehovah's Witnesses, Secretly Accepting Blood Transfusions

Jehovah's Witnesses, Secretly Accepting Blood Transfusions

Recently, we received an email from an anesthesiologist discussing his experience with Jehovah's Witnesses secretly taking blood. In this podcast, we discuss the situation with Jehovah's Witnesses and how our guest, Shauna, was faced with this dilemma. Find out how she and her family handled their situation in this podcast.*********************Begin Email message from anesthesiologist:Hello. I found you guys on the Internet. I’m a[n] anesthesiologist. I have a question for you. What percentage of those witnesses would take a blood transfusion if it could be absolutely guaranteed where no one will ever find out?I have had several patients that in the operating room, I asked them before going to sleep if they would receive blood. They have said ‘no blood’ in the presence of  family in the preoperative area. However when alone in the operating room with no family members around, they have said that they will, in fact, accept blood in the operating room as long as nobody finds out. This has happened a number of times. A recent case where a woman that I had as a patient almost died until we got her to the operating room and were able to give her blood anonymously. We’re trying to develop a policy in the hospital somehow to be able to give JWs the option of a truly free decision on whether or not they want to receive blood without the pressure of being in the presence of family and church vampires about.Any of your thoughts are greatly appreciated.End Email***********************To learn more about our Guest Shauna, be sure to check out the interview we did where she and her husband shared their experience on our YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on42UtqJZEs&t=619sSupport the show

Discussion: New Light, Burning Out of Control, or Flickering to Survive

New Light, Burning out of control, or flickering to survive? The Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society has used the “New Light” theory to explain all of their failed teachings. They use this ideology as a means to change their teachings. By doing so, they expect Jehovah’s Witnesses to sit back and accept their mistakes. Since […]Support the show

Discussion: Jehovah's Witnesses Riding the Waves on a Sinking Ship

Numbers don’t lie, but you can lie with numbers, and the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society has done their share of number crunching over the years. With their “do-more, do-more campaigns,” they kept Jehovah’s Witnesses busy. They heaped a lot of responsibility on their members, and they jumped through a lot of hoops to satisfy […]Support the show

Watchtower Can Run…But, Can they Hide from Legal Liability?

Watchtower Can Run…But, Can they Hide from Legal Liability?

In the early 2000’s, the Watchtower formed seven new corporations. This included removing the Governing Body from serving as corporate officers or directors in any of these new corporations. Jehovah’s Witness Letter Writing Campaign – Security Risk?

Jehovah’s Witness Letter Writing Campaign – Security Risk?

The global letter-writing campaign organized by the Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society, Inc., is risky. Because asking Jehovah's Witnesses to share personally identifiable information with strangers is quite dangerous. In the world of technology, a quick Google search can have an individual at your doorstep in no time. Therefore, Jehovah's Witnesses should be mindful of using their personal information when sending out letters or other Watchtower correspondence. The Watchtower gives explicit instructions to their members on how to disseminate information. They do not want the general public to insinuate that the material is coming directly from Watchtower headquarters. As a result, the individual Jehovah's Witness assumes all of the blame. Thus, putting their families in danger if individuals are not receptive to their message. All the while, the leadership sits behind a gated compound with full protection from all outsiders.Support the show

The Top 3 Ways the Governing Body Misleads Jehovah’s Witnesses

In this video, we encourage you to meditate and think critically about what you have been convinced to believe as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
