Nas Reveals Eminem's Heartfelt Reason for Declining Daughters Collab Invite in 2012

Eminem BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. Eminem has stayed out of the spotlight this week with no confirmed public appearances business moves or fresh social media posts but a juicy anecdote from rap royalty lit up the wires. On Saturday December 15 Joe Budden dropped a rare interview with Nas and DJ Premier on his podcast where Nas spilled why Em politely ghosted a collab invite back in 2012. According to the iHeartRadio report Nas had sent his heartfelt track Daughters from the Life Is Good album to Eminem who was deep in his own daughter-themed bars at the time. Em replied thanks but no thanks explaining hed promised Hailie he wouldnt do more songs straight-up about daughters since it hit too close to home after all his emotional tracks on the subject. Nas called it refreshing since most pitches were battle raps coming for his crown not this vulnerable vibe. The duo later linked up properly on EPMD 2 from Nas Kings Disease II in 2021 proving respect runs deep. No major headlines scream Eminem dominance this holiday stretch though a cheeky 2000s dance party at Baltimores Ottobar on December 5 name-dropped him alongside Rihanna and Britney for low-rise jeans and bling nostalgia per Baltimore Magazine. Thats the extent of his echo in event calendars zero personal involvement. Shady Inc shows no new ventures tours or drops with the Slim Shady empire humming quietly post his last big biographical beats. Fans speculate hes plotting in the studio but thats pure gossip no verified tea backs it up. Keep ears peeled Em rarely sleeps on a comeback.
