Adoption from a Producer Perspective - Usefulness vs Useability

Welcome to the Farms Advice Podcast where we talk everything agribusiness. It is for those that FARM it, SERVICE it or just LOVE it. This episode we dive back in to the Farmers2Founders series with episode two. Farmers2Founders are delivering a range of projects under the TEKFARM banner to support producers, agtech companies and trusted intermediaries to overcome adoption barriers.

Adoption is typically perceived to be a farmer’s problem as they are reluctant to take on new ideas, practices and technology. However, F2F flips this argument on its head, believing that agtech companies also play a critical role in the adoption process and are poor at demonstrating the value of their product or service for farming businesses, and being able to justify their cost / benefit of that solution.

In this episode, we will speak with Matt Anderson, who manages the agritech projects at F2F, about the various adoption challenges we are seeing play out in the industry, as well as Tom Hampton, a South Australian farmer, to talk about his perspective on agtech adoption and what may be slowing this process down.
