17. Grace Nelson: Birth, Death, Emotion & Being Held

Grace is a classically trained soprano turned songwriter and multidimensional maker, rooted in an upbringing shaped by a professional-musician father and a visual-artist mother. She now lives in the Twin Cities, at the luminous intersection of art and service as a labor-and-delivery nurse who witnesses life arriving in real time. She moves through the world like an oracle collector: gathering glints of meaning from moonlit deserts, repeating numbers dragonflies, and the deep-blue hush of the unknown. Grace weaves all of this into intimate songs that feel like prayers, confessions, and time capsules of awe.

Drawn toward jewel tones, home as sanctuary, and the ongoing work of softening grief into feeling, she creates from devotion: to voice as lifeline, to presence as practice, and to the mysterious water-womb of the void where creation begins again and again.
