What in the EES?

This week on Tales of a Travel Agent, Becky and Jake are back after a chaotic few weeks, and it shows.

From whirlwind fam trips and moving house but never actually being in it, to chocolate fondue lunches and an unexpected S Club 7 throwback moment at an industry awards afterparty, it is already unhinged before we even get into the industry chat.

They dive headfirst into the absolute state of travel right now, cancellations, reroutes, customers in panic mode, and agents working harder than ever to somehow make less money. If you know, you know.

They also get into the reality of social media for travel agents and why it is exhausting, why “deals” basically do not exist right now, airport chaos and EES confusion, and what it is actually like travelling at the moment, plus why customers now care more about confidence than price.

There is also a surprisingly educational and slightly chaotic breakdown of travel industry jargon, including a moment where “DP” definitely does not mean what you thought it did.

To wrap things up, Becky shares a genuinely useful tip for agents looking to level up their knowledge without sitting through another boring webinar.
