Circle Buzz: Why You Need to Ground After a Ritual

You just finished a ritual that stretched late into the night. You feel like you should be exhausted, but instead you’re wide awake. You’re not alone — It’s happened to countless witches throughout history.

I don’t know who coined the term, but we’ve always called this phenomenon “circle buzz.” It’s the energetic imprint left over from the ritual that affects your physical body. It isn’t a bad thing, but it’s important to be conscious about it. Not everyone feels the physical side effects, but that doesn’t mean the energy isn’t there. For those just starting out on this path, it might be negligible. As you progress in the craft and learn how to better situate yourself into a ritual mindset, the potential for energy overload grows. That’s why it’s a good idea to form grounding habits now.
