323 - The Enfield Horror!

In April of 1973, a quiet farming community in southern Illinois became the center of one of the strangest creature cases in American history.

When local resident Henry McDaniel stepped outside to investigate scratching noises near his home, he claimed to encounter a bizarre gray creature with glowing eyes, claw-like hands, and three legs. According to McDaniel, the creature escaped by making enormous leaps into the darkness. What followed was a wave of sightings, strange tracks, media attention, and a mystery that remains unsolved more than fifty years later.

In this episode, Victus and Hazel investigate the Enfield Horror from the very beginning. We examine the original witness testimony, police involvement, physical evidence, additional sightings, and the theories that have attempted to explain the creature ever since. Was the Enfield Horror an escaped animal, a local hoax, an unknown cryptid, or something far stranger?
