99. God’s Goodness Isn’t Dependent on Our Circumstances

This week, I’m reflecting on the truth that God’s goodness and greatness are not dependent on our circumstances — and so our worship doesn’t need to be either. Drawing on personal experience, songs like Bless God, Waymaker, and The Desert Song, and a series of scriptures that speak of praise in both plenty and pain, this episode is a gentle invitation to keep anchoring ourselves in who God is. If you are in a season that feels dry, costly, uncertain, or hard, I hope this reflection encourages you to lift your eyes again and remember that God is still worthy, still faithful, and still at work.

Reflection Questions:

• How much is my worship shaped by who God is, rather than by how life feels right now?

• Where am I finding it hard to see God’s goodness in my current circumstances?

• What might it look like for me to offer God a sacrifice of praise in this season?

• When I look back, where have I seen God’s faithfulness even in hard or uncertain times?

• What would it mean for me to choose trust and worship today, even if nothing around me changes straight away?
