"Food Poisoning & Billie Piper" - Duncan Hart | S01 E41 | The Sin Bin Pod

This week comedian Duncan Hart joins The SinBin Pod with a story that starts with a suspicious stomach rumble and somehow ends with him vomiting on Billie Piper. What begins as an innocent after-work drinks session in Soho quickly spirals into one of the most chaotic nights ever shared on the podcast. After mistaking a serious bout of food poisoning for something far less dramatic, Duncan finds himself battling a personal hygiene crisis, refusing to let it ruin his evening, and heading to London’s exclusive Groucho Club anyway.Armed with several White Russians, questionable decision-making and the confidence only a determined drinker can possess, Duncan spots Doctor Who star Billie Piper at the bar and decides to introduce himself. What follows is a celebrity encounter she’ll almost certainly never forget. Along the way, Duncan reveals his connections to the early Doctor Who revival, the infamous pair of underwear left behind forever, and why this story has remained largely untold for nearly twenty years.

Expect:

✔ A disastrous case of food poisoning during after-work drinks in Soho

✔ An explosive accident that should have ended the night immediately

✔ A 25-minute emergency clean-up operation involving a missing pair of underwear

✔ Sneaking into the Groucho Club despite every warning sign imaginable

✔ Doctor Who fandom, TV writers and unexpected celebrity encounters

✔ Meeting Billie Piper at the worst possible moment

✔ Vomiting during a conversation with one of Britain’s biggest TV stars

✔ Cox in the Corner: Marc asks ... Is it ironic that the organ he’s named after might be the one that eventually kills him

✔ Sinner or Winner: A backpacking prank involving hidden underwear destroys a relationship, while a wedding guest leaves a horrifying surprise in a honeymoon suite
