Welcome to a new episode of Fans First Football Network’s I-80 Football Show. On this show, we travel down I-80 to talk all things Big Ten Football. This is the only Big Ten Podcast that’ll cover all 18 teams. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. In this episode, Jordan puts 45 minutes on the clock to recap the weekend. Before getting into the weekend slate of games, Jordan breaks down the news that Michigan State has started the formal process to fire head football coach Mel Tucker. While the sexual harassment investigation and trial are still scheduled for October, Tucker admitted to pursuing and participating in an intimate and sexual relationship with a vendor which is against University policies. Since Tucker admitted this publicly and in the investigation he will be fired for cause as soon as the due process and period for comment and to prevent evidence ends. In the football world, Penn State and Michigan beat Illinois and Bowling Green respectively but their quarterbacks both had the worst games of their season. Oregon, Washington, and Ohio State all blew out lesser opponents preparing themselves to enter conference play. In the case of Ohio State, they clicked into gear at the right time as they play Notre Dame next week. In his weekly pit stop, Jordan tries to remind everyone that players are human. While the Colorado State safety may have intentionally hit and hurt Travis Hunter there is no reason to send him and his family death threats.
