93: "I Had Nothing Left to Lose" | Bouchra El Amine

"On paper, my life looked amazing... but I was just walking through life, not actually enjoying it, like actually desiring to be there."

Welcome to Tales of the Town, a storytelling podcast featuring real stories, personal stories, and community stories from everyday people and creatives. In this episode, we explore how hitting rock bottom can lead to unexpected paths of healing, moving from traditional frameworks to holistic practices, and learning to trust your body’s innate capacity to heal.

In this episode, we are joined by Bouchra El Amine, an energy healer, qigong teacher, and medicine woman based in Windsor, Ontario. After years of struggling with severe chronic depression and PTSD, Bouchra shifted from her Cartesian upbringing and corporate life to explore alternative medicine, eventually finding her purpose in supporting others through integrative holistic practices.
