Kalani Comes Back But Abby REFUSES To Let Her Dance | Back To The Barre with Christi & Kelly

Christi and Kelly recap Dance Moms season 5, episode 28 — “Solo Battle: Round 1,” where Kalani returns to the ALDC after walking out with Kira, but Abby being Abby is not exactly ready to welcome her back with open arms.

Even though the moms agree the team needs Kalani, Abby absolutely REFUSES to put her in the group dance and says she needs to learn a lesson for leaving. That leaves Kira trying to get Kalani back in Abby’s good graces, the girls rehearsing a risky jail-yard-inspired group number, and Abby eventually storming out of rehearsal all over again.

Elswhere, Abby kicks off her nationals solo battle by putting Kendall and JoJo head-to-head. Kendall gets a contemporary solo, JoJo gets a Miley Cyrus-inspired routine, and one forgotten solo turns into a surprisingly emotional moment. Plus, Jeanette officially rebrands her team as BDA and gives the ALDC real competition heading into nationals.
