Lindsay Clancy's Doctors Changed Her Brain With THIS

Lindsay Clancy's Doctors Changed Her Brain With THIS

The defense in the Lindsay Clancy case says she did everything right. She reported symptoms. She went to appointments. She took the medication. She asked for help. And the system responded with thirteen prescriptions in four months from five providers who allegedly never talked to each other.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski to walk through the clinical timeline. Patrick Clancy told his wife's providers she was ten thousand times worse on Seroquel. Their response was to raise the dose. Lindsay called a suicide hotline and was told she did not qualify because she had no specific plan. She checked into McLean Hospital on New Year's Eve and waited three days before a clinician saw her.

The malpractice lawsuit describes a system where each provider held a piece of the puzzle and nobody assembled it. A nurse practitioner allegedly never returned a follow-up call. A seventeen-minute virtual appointment the day before the killings ended with a dosage increase. Nobody pulled a complete medication history. Nobody identified the bipolar disorder that a forensic evaluation would later confirm.

Shavaun explains what revolving-door prescribing does to someone in psychiatric crisis, why the system is structured to produce exactly this kind of failure, and the question the audience keeps asking — if she did everything they told her to do, who is actually responsible for what happened?

Tony Brueski and psychotherapist Shavaun Scott discuss the Lindsay Clancy murder trial.
