Ep. 21: Language and storytelling and lesbian pirates

"Above all else this podcast is a vessel to tell stories about women, by women, and for women."

On this episode of Kinda Radical we talk about marked vs unmarked language and how that translates into our everyday conversations, gendering, and speech. Then I share the story of Mongolian warrior Khutulun who wrestles over 100 men to keep her freedom before coming one of the best warriors in Mongol history. This story inspired me to share the biographies of nine other historical women from The Book of Women written by Lynne Griffin and Kelly McCann.
