Shaun Micallef on the life-changing ultimatum from his wife

Hello! Today, we have a Life Lessons episode with one of Australia’s most beloved comedians, Shaun Micallef. You might recognise Shaun from his satirical news program Mad As Hell or Talkin’ About Your Generation. More recently, he’s appeared on SBS on Shaun Micallef's Origins Odyssey and ABC’s Going for Broke. In this conversation, Shaun opens up about the pivotal decision he had to make at 30: stay in law and join a partnership, or take a risk and pursue his passion for comedy. Ultimately, this decision changed his entire life. Shaun also takes us into some of his biggest life revelations - the birth of his first child, the moment he realised God didn’t necessarily need to exist and the first time he discovered he could make other people laugh. He speaks about public embarrassment, raising his three sons and how he defines success now at the age of 64. If you'd like to support Shaun, you can buy tickets to Melbourne Theatre Company's Uncle Vanya here! or Shaun Micallef’s Origin Odyssey: Season 1 is available to stream now on SBS On Demand.
