Mental health affects every one of us, but it can still be difficult to talk about—especially within our families, communities, and churches.

In this episode, we’re joined by Tiana Brown and Dr. Jassett Crooks for an open and practical conversation about mental health, mental illness, stigma, and the importance of creating spaces where people feel comfortable asking for help.

Together, we explore what good mental health looks like, the difference between mental health and mental illness, and how attitudes toward these conversations have changed across generations. We also look at the Church’s role in supporting mental wellness and how faith, prayer, community, and professional care can work alongside one another.

The conversation moves into everyday life—relationships, parenting, marriage, school, work, and faith—and some of the signs that we or the people around us may be struggling. We discuss stress, anxiety, burnout, depression, isolation, healthy boundaries, and practical ways to care for our mental well-being.

Most importantly, this is a conversation about making it easier to talk, listen, and reach out for support.
