Born Into Freedom

In this message, Connor continues the Empowered Life series through Galatians 4, unpacking Paul’s powerful reminder that the gospel is not about managing sin through rules, but about being born into a new identity as sons and daughters of God.

Connor explains that many Christians swing between two extremes: legalism that keeps people trapped in performance, and a misunderstood grace that becomes passive or disconnected from transformation. Paul’s message, he says, is neither. Through Jesus’ finished work and the gift of the Holy Spirit, believers are adopted into God’s family, where the Spirit within us cries “Abba, Father.” The goal of the gospel is not simply a message about grace, it is life in the Spirit.

Drawing from personal stories and ministry experiences around the world, Connor challenges the church to move beyond formulas, spiritual hype, or striving, and instead live from a place of trust and dependence on the Holy Spirit. When believers stay connected to the source, resting in what Jesus has already accomplished, faith naturally overflows into supernatural life, healing, and transformation.

Connor closes with an invitation for the church to rediscover the freedom Jesus paid for: a Spirit-filled life where intimacy with God leads to courage, obedience, and the power of the gospel transforming lives, communities, and cities.
