#322 - Damien Oliver - The GOAT of the Saddle

Damien Oliver is a 129-time Group 1 Winning Jockey, 3-time Melbourne Cup winner, Australian Racing Hall of Fame member and a legend of the sport.

What a thrill it was to have Damien sit in the hot seat and join us to reflect on his truly outstanding career.

Oli is about to share with you just what it takes to make it as a jockey in this country, the work he put in and some of the unforgettable moments along the way.

We talk and react to his Melbourne Cup wins, he takes us inside the jockey room (and on the track!) and even shares some of the tricks of the trade.

But Oli's career wasn't without moments of sadness, controversy & courage.

Damien opens up about losing his Dad and his brother in racing-related deaths...and how close he came to being paralysed after a fall. Plus, coming back to win the Melbourne Cup days after his brother's death and the return for racing after his injuries.

He opens up about the ban, the movie that was made about him and some of the characters along the way.

And for those real racing fans, you'll get plenty of insight into life as a jockey and what happens away from our screens.

You will love this reflection of a true GOAT of the sport.

Enjoy the legend, Damien Oliver!
