332: Coaches Corner: Matt Dixon - Purple Patch Fitness founder & Head Coach

Matt Dixon is a World Class Triathlon Coach, former Professional Triathlete, Elite Swimmer and an Exercise Physiologist. As the founder and under Matt's guidance, Purple Patch Fitness have recorded 350 Professional Ironman and Ironman 70.3 victories and podiums including multiple World Championships, including Australian and former guest, Tim Reed's 70.3 Ironman World Championship title.

Matt's distinct performance methodology focuses on integrating performance into time-starved life, which has made him highly sought after as a resource amongst the industry for years. Matt is the author of two books, "The Well-Built Triathlete" and "Fast Track Triathlete" and a regular contributor to sports magazines and publications, an Ironman master coach alongside some corporate speaking to major companies on performance and leadership.

In this episode Matt touches on the Purple Patch pillars of performance, the concept of soul-filling sessions and why it's important, the difference between purpose and goal setting, the concept of the inner animal and the heads-up display, and Matt challenges us to be an assassin of truth for looking at where we are at now.
