GTA 6, Gears E-Day, And A Huge Week For Xbox

Episode #617: This week, we react to the extended Grand Theft Auto VI reveal and break down why it has us more excited than ever. From the scale of Vice City to the lighting, driving, gunplay, character switching, and all the tiny Rockstar details, this was the kind of gameplay look that makes you stop and realize just how big this game could be.
We talk through the Netflix first reveal, whether that rollout helped or hurt the moment, and how the trailer landed after we finally got to watch it. The crew gets into Jason and Lucia, the car chase sequence, the improved combat, the world detail, the possible mini games, the social media systems, and why GTA 6 already looks like a game people could get lost in for years.
Gamescom also gave us plenty to dig into. The Blood of Dawnwalker has our attention with its vampire Witcher energy, 30 day story structure, day and night systems, and choice driven world. Then Gears of War: E-Day brought the Xbox energy back with Marcus, Dom, brotherhood, brutal Locust, and a trailer that felt exactly like what Gears should be.
