LET FREEDOM RING...BUT NOT IN PENNSYLVANIA

Shapiro says two people died from measles, but the county says there are zero measles deaths on record. That contradiction is the center of this episode, and it opens into a larger question: who is shaping the narrative, why now, and what happens when public health messaging collides with politics?

Lynda McLaughlin breaks down the fast-moving Pennsylvania measles controversy and the timeline surrounding Governor Josh Shapiro's announcement, the Lancaster County coroner's record, and the local commissioner pushing back on what he calls a false claim.

She also pulls on the thread of vaccine politics, the role of advocacy group Protect Our Care, and the way messaging around "measles-associated" deaths can be used to influence voters heading into a school year and an election cycle.

You'll hear the full argument laid out around Shapiro's ties to vaccine industry interests, the grant money Pennsylvania funneled to a vaccine manufacturer, and the accusations that public health language is being weaponized for political gain. Lynda also connects the story to broader concerns about COVID-era mandates, pharma profits, media framing, and why she believes the public is being pushed into fear instead of given clear evidence.

We get to a few other topics too, like Flock cameras and Chris Murphy.
