For generations, women were told the ideal man was the alpha male — successful, dominant, powerful, protective and very definitely the one leading the relationship. But what happens when she’s the successful one?

This week on Uncut & Uncensored, Caroline is joined by Sergio for a very personal — and predictably unfiltered — conversation about the rise of the “hype husband” and why a man proudly standing behind a powerful woman might actually be the ultimate sign of confidence.

From husbands taking the photos and carrying the handbags to men openly celebrating their wives’ careers, more women in the spotlight are showing the partners who help make their success possible.

But does supporting a powerful woman make a man less masculine — or does it take an incredibly secure man to do it?

Caroline and Sergio know this conversation better than most.

They get into male ego, successful women, money in marriage, age-gap relationships, masculinity, who really wears the trousers, supporting your partner’s career, building businesses together and what happens when a woman earns more than her husband.

So maybe we’ve been defining the alpha male incorrectly all along.

Maybe the strongest man in the room isn’t the one who needs to be more successful, earn more money or get more attention than his wife.

Maybe it’s the man confident enough to watch her shine and think: “That’s my wife.”
