Cross-pavement EV charging costs in the UK vary wildly by council, and almost none of them publish the figures. A Haringey resident says they were quoted £678 after subsidy for a charging channel through the pavement, plus a £120 annual licence fee — with the channel removed if they stop paying. Enfield charges £93 a year. Hertfordshire charges £200 just to assess an application. We work through what cross-pavement charging actually costs in 2026 and why the price changes at a borough boundary.Then used EV battery health.
