Fed Raises Rates for First Time in Three Years

The Federal Reserve raises interest rates for the first time in three years as the Iran war pushes oil prices higher and threatens to deepen pressure on the US economy. Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline remains shut, crude prices surge, and American fuel costs continue to climb.

In this episode of Epic Fury: The US-Iran War Podcast, we break down the latest developments from the Iran war and what they mean for the United States.

The Fed’s rate hike comes as energy markets face growing disruption from the conflict. Saudi Arabia’s major pipeline to the Red Sea remains offline following an attack, forcing more oil toward the Strait of Hormuz and raising fresh concerns about global supply. Brent crude has surged, while US gasoline and diesel prices continue to rise.

We also examine the latest military developments around the Strait of Hormuz, including an encounter between Iranian boats and a US unmanned surface vessel, new claims surrounding attacks on commercial shipping, and the widening gap between official US statements and independent shipping data.

In Washington, the House passes another war powers resolution, the Pentagon reveals the staggering cost of the conflict, and a new assessment warns that the US military is facing significant missile-defense inventory shortages.

Meanwhile, Iran faces growing economic and political pressure, while the United Nations prepares for a crucial vote over international monitoring of Iran’s nuclear activities. We also examine developments in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and the wider Middle East.
