Grand Jury Rejects Nolan Wells Claims, Death Ruled Drowning

The Grand Jury report is Nolan Wells death has been released. The jury released a “no true bill” decision meaning there is insufficient evidence to prove probable cause for criminal charges in Nolan's death. Forty three witnesses were heard, 132 subpoenas issued, and extensive physical and digital evidence was reviewed.

The report states that the position, condition, and location of Wells’ body are “consistent with drowning.” Both the state medical examiner and an independent pathologist, however found the cause and manner of death undetermined. The official coming as a process of elimination. The Wells’ family and attorney Ben Crump argue the investigation was incomplete and report fails his head injuries, leading for calls for further investigation, including potential federal involvement.
