Scientists Found Something in the Sky That Shouldn’t Be There!

In 1950, before Sputnik, before NASA, and before a single known artificial satellite was orbiting Earth… something appeared in the sky.

Astronomer Dr Beatriz Villarroel and her team have been studying mysterious objects known as “transients” — points of light captured on astronomical photographic plates that appear, disappear, and in some cases seem to show patterns that are extremely difficult to explain.

The problem?

Some of these images were captured years before humanity officially entered the space age.
