Why Bryan Kohberger's Family Chose This Moment to Speak

Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in the Idaho student killings and is serving four consecutive life sentences. A year after his plea, he filed a handwritten petition claiming he was pressured into a false confession by his own attorneys.

His family just made a public move. In a statement to ABC News, the Kohbergers say they fully support his bid to withdraw the guilty plea. They want the case resolved through "a proper trial."
