Caleb Flynn Court Coverage Day 6: Kinzig Calls Defense Texts Cherry-Picked

Special Agent Andrea Kinzig's continued testimony in the Caleb Flynn murder trial turned into a fight over what investigators pursued, what they left alone, and which digital records the jury should trust. Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn.

Kinzig testified that Amazon records showed three Blink cameras in the Flynn home - at the front door, back door, and living room - were last online on January 26, 2026. The defense also asked about a tip from Zachary McIntosh concerning a supposed hit on Caleb by Chris Hill. Kinzig said the tip was not followed up after a collective decision by Tipp City Police and the FBI.

Cross-examination also brought out positive communications about Caleb. Kinzig read messages between Ashley and Caleb containing repeated expressions of love, and she said it was theoretically possible that Alleigha Botner's loss of a laptop could have been a ruse.

On redirect, Kinzig challenged the defense's presentation of the communications. She testified that the records were cherry-picked, were not a complete record, and included data she could not verify for accuracy.

The defense maintains an intruder killed Ashley and investigators focused on Caleb too quickly. Prosecutors allege Caleb staged the home to look like a burglary.
