Caleb Flynn's Door Told a Different Story Than the One He Was Selling

Ohio BCI agent David Hammond spent twelve hours processing the Flynn crime scene and concluded it was a homicide staged to look like a burglary. When Detective Mike Morgan sat down with Caleb Flynn for a second interview on February 16, he walked the evidence out one piece at a time — and every piece was aimed.

The side door to the garage was not latched but showed tool marks and interior damage consistent with being forced from inside. Morgan told Caleb that didn't make sense. The blood evidence placed the shooter at point-blank range, at the foot of the bed — the spot Caleb described standing when he went to shake Ashley. Morgan used Caleb's own words to put him in the shooter's position. And when Caleb challenged the detective to verify the marriage with any neighbor, Morgan replied that they already had.
