This week on Keeping Up With The Nerds, the Whittier, California-based crew dives into a jam-packed lineup of gruesome comic book adaptations, hard-hitting action, and the future of the MCU!

First up, Bryan, Rene, Nick, and Sean are thrilled to welcome back artist and Guest Host Phillip Quick to the studio! The crew catches up with Phillip, sharing some laughs before they dive right into the heavy-hitting topics of the week. With Phillip bringing his own nerdy insights to the table, the gang is ready to talk everything Clayface, Reacher, and Avengers Doomsday.

Then, the conversation shifts to Gotham as the guys react to the gruesome final trailer for Clayface. The crew debates DC Studios' bold decision to conceal the final, fully realized look of the iconic villain until the theatrical release. Is holding back the big reveal a genius marketing move to build anticipation, or could it backfire? The table is split, but everyone agrees the trailer's dark tone is hitting the right notes.

After a quick detour, the guys talk about Prime Video's hit series, Reacher. Bryan admits he is just barely getting into the show, but he’s officially jumped on the bandwagon and is absolutely loving it. The crew discusses what makes the grounded, bone-breaking action of Reacher so satisfying and why Bryan can't get enough of the no-nonsense protagonist.

Finally, the crew tackles their main event: Avengers Doomsday. The highly anticipated movie takes center stage as the Nerds analyze the latest buzz and discuss the controversial end-credit scenes from the recent Endgame Encore re-release. The consensus? Those post-credit teases might not be adding as much to the larger story as some people think. But the guys ask the ultimate question: is Marvel overhyping an already hyped Avengers movie? All this and more!

🎙️ Welcome Phillip Quick: Bryan, Rene, Nick, and Sean welcome back Guest Host Phillip Quick to the show to share some laughs and talk all things nerdy.

🦇 Clayface's Gruesome Trailer: The Nerds react to the final trailer for Clayface, debating if DC Studios' decision to hide the villain's final look for the theatrical release is a good move.

👊 Bryan Loves Reacher: Bryan finally starts watching Prime's Reacher series and explains why he’s absolutely loving the bone-crunching action.

💥 Avengers Doomsday & Endgame Encore: The crew breaks down the Endgame Encore end-credit scenes and debates whether Marvel is overhyping the already anticipated Avengers Doomsday.
