Tonight's story takes us to a quiet Midwestern town where something impossible appears in the darkness. A towering figure with bat-like wings, glowing eyes, and a strange light shining from its forehead begins stalking the streets after sunset. As sightings spread and fear grips the town, one witness finds himself face to face with a creature that should not exist.

Then we explore the real reports behind one of America's strangest cryptid encounters.

In the fall of 1903, residents of Van Meter, Iowa reported seeing a bizarre winged creature unlike anything they had encountered before. Witnesses described a towering figure with enormous wings, a horn or protrusion on its head that emitted a brilliant light, and the ability to fly silently through the night. Multiple respected townspeople claimed to see the creature over several nights, leading to armed searches, public panic, and a mystery that remains unsolved more than a century later.
