Drunk Teacher Hit and Killed Man on Way To School

An elementary school teacher in Lexington, Kentucky, was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence and fatally striking a pedestrian named Joshua Hampton. Law enforcement utilized city surveillance cameras to track the suspect's damaged vehicle to Glendover Elementary School, where she was employed. Subsequent testing revealed a blood alcohol concentration exceeding three times the legal limit, alongside her admission to consuming alcohol and taking various prescription medications. A legal expert evaluated the potential defense and prosecution strategies, noting that she faces significantly enhanced prison sentences if the evidence remains uncontested. Currently, the defendant has entered a not guilty plea and is bound by house arrest awaiting further legal proceedings.
