Parenting a child with ADHD and managing your emotions

Parenting a child with ADHD and managing your emotions

October is ADHD Awareness Month and whether you've got children or not this episode is a fascinating conversation about how to get regulated when the pressure is on.

Trying to manage your own ADHD is hard enough but what about trying to teach someone else to understand themselves and to regulate their emotions? That's what parents with ADHD children do every day.

Psychologist and ADHD specialist Janelle Booker works with famillies trying to manage ADHD at the centre of their relationships.

An episode full of tips and reassurance, Janelle explains why parents managing their own emotions is key to children getting regulated. She also talks to Sam and Katie about the guilt that goes along with getting things wrong and how parents need to forgive themselves.
