Trump Rally Protester Attacked While Wearing Release the Epstein Files Shirt (10/14/26)

At a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio, a woman wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt was assaulted by an apparent Trump supporter after drawing attention from the crowd. Video showed the man shoving her, punching her in the face, grabbing her by the hair and trying to force her toward the ground while people nearby chanted “USA.” Police eventually intervened and escorted the woman out of the venue, while the man who struck her remained inside and was seen exchanging high-fives with other attendees. The confrontation happened while Trump was speaking about Ohio politics and the crowd’s attention shifted toward the disturbance.

Trump then reacted to the heckler from the stage, accusing her without evidence of being a paid protester and mocking her weight. He appeared not to realize the heckler was a woman and repeatedly referred to her as a man while calling protesters “scum” and saying she needed to go on a diet. The fact that she was wearing a shirt demanding release of the Epstein files added another layer to the incident, especially as Trump and his Justice Department continue to face bipartisan pressure over delays in releasing additional Epstein-related records. The episode turned what began as a heckling incident into a broader controversy involving political violence, treatment of protesters and the still-unresolved fight over transparency surrounding the Epstein files.
