Is Satan Already Bound? What Jesus Said Changes Everything | Sunday Seeds

**Is Satan already bound, or is the binding of Satan in Revelation 20 still in the future?** Jesus said something in Matthew 12 that could change how Christians understand spiritual warfare, the authority of Satan, and the victory of Jesus Christ. When the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons through the power of Beelzebul, Jesus answered with a remarkable picture: before someone can plunder a strong man's house, he must first bind the strong man. Was Jesus describing something that had already begun? And if Satan has been bound, why does the world still seem so full of darkness? In this episode of **Sunday Seeds**, we examine Matthew 12:22–29, Luke 11, and Revelation 20:1–3 to understand what Scripture actually says about Satan's power, Christ's victory, and the meaning of the great chain and seal. We also examine the writings of Augustine, ancient Jewish accounts of rebellious spiritual beings, and the connection between the sealed tomb of Jesus and the sealed abyss of Revelation. **In this episode:** - What Jesus meant when He spoke about binding the strong man - The connection between Matthew 12 and Revelation 20 - Why Satan can still be active if his power has been restricted - The meaning of the chain, the abyss, and the seal - How early Christians understood Satan's binding - What 1 Enoch, Jubilees, and other ancient writings contribute to the historical discussion - Why Christians should approach spiritual warfare with faith instead of fear - How Christ's victory changes the way we live today **This episode introduces THE LITTLE SEASON, our new Broadcasting Seeds series examining the millennium, Satan's binding and release, the deception of the nations, and Gog and Magog.** Sunday Seeds is our weekly gathering centered on Scripture, prayer, and encouragement in Jesus Christ. **Scripture:** Matthew 12:22–29 | Revelation 20:1–3 | Luke 11:14–23 | Luke 13:10–17 | John 12:31–32 | Colossians 2:15 | Hebrews 2:14–15 | Ephesians 6:10–18 Bible translations: Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and King James Version (KJV). 🙏 **PRAYER REQUESTS:** Share your requests in the comments, even if all you can say is "Pray for me."
