Armed with his trusty microphone, a sprinkling of charm and a questionable amount of wit, Dan heads to one of his favourite Lincoln haunts, Cafe Misto in the historic Bailgate, for a coffee and a good old-fashioned chat with a stranger.

And what a day to strike up a conversation! The sun is shining, the city is buzzing, and Lincoln City FC are celebrating their promotion to the Championship with a spectacular open-top bus parade through the streets of Lincoln. There’s a real sense of excitement in the air, and Dan’s guest, Jayne, is more than happy to share in the celebrations.

Over a coffee, Jayne tells Dan about her plans to head to the stadium later that day, where she and her family will be watching her grandson Joe and his dad take to the pitch for a football match of their own. From the Imps’ historic achievement to family football memories, there’s plenty to talk about.
