706 - CHRIS WILLIAMSON - From Nightclub Promoter to World Leading Podcaster

Chris Williamson, one of the most successful podcasters on the planet, joins Jaack & Stevie, two of the most successful podcasters from the North Norfolk area. Chris first came to the public eye with appearances on Take Me Out and Love Island but in the decade since, he has transformed his entire image, evolving into one of the biggest names in podcasting. With some of the world’s most fascinating people appearing on his Modern Wisdom podcast, we ask Chris exactly what goes into preparing for these conversations. How does he research his guests? How much planning goes into each episode? And how does he navigate the fine line between allowing guests to share their opinions, and potentially giving a platform to advice that isn’t necessarily always backed up by fact? Chris also shares what it was like interviewing Hollywood superstar Matthew McConaughey, and we delve into some of the criticism he’s faced online, including being labelled part of the “soft manosphere”. And we couldn’t possibly let one of the world’s biggest podcasters leave without getting his thoughts on one of the most pressing issues of our time… JaackMaate’s Christmas lights fiasco.
