Communications Interoperability Since 9/11

Communications Interoperability Since 9/11

One of the worst days in American history, September 11, 2001 revealed some important gaps in our capabilities to respond to major incidents. One of biggest of those was communications interoperability. In this special podcast honoring the 20th anniversary of that terrible day, host Mike McCabe speaks with three key players from the 9/11 response--former FDNY commissioner Salvatore Cassano, former New York Homeland Security Commissioner Jerome Hauer, and former Arlington County (Va.) Fire Chief Edward Plaugher--about that challenge and others, as well as how things have improved in the years since.
