E11 - Living with ADHD & Sickle Cell

E11 - Living with ADHD & Sickle Cell

And we're back with a special video episode on Living with both ADHD & Sickle Cell.

Joining Septembers Sickle Cell Awareness month with Octobers Black History Month, join Julez as she speaks with guests Moji and Vivienne about living with Sickle Cell or the Sickle Cell trait.

They discuss the importance of awareness for an illness that mainly affects communities of colour and how Sickle Cell symptoms can overlap and exasperate their ADHD symptoms. They share tips on how to provide awareness for those around you, such as friends and family, and how it affected their education, medical care, and interactions with others.

Alongside this episode, we will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday 30th October 2022, in Stratford, London. Donors of colour are wanted to help treat those living with Sickle Cell. To join us, please fill in our donor form here.
