Girardi is Competent to Stand Trial: A Public Defender Weighs In

We are doing something different today and interviewing a member of our legal team, Monica Nguyen. Monica is a Deputy Public Defender that specializes in competency and has been working solely in mental health for 15 years. Monica digs into the court's decision on Tom Girardi's competency and provides her opinion, based on her experience, of the decision and what the court could have addressed further. As an initial note, this is not at all to defend what Tom did, but rather is an opportunity to consider the order from a different perspective with an attorney who is experienced in the subject matter.
