Nico Hulkenberg Was ONE Race Away From 2021 Red Bull Seat

Helmut Marko says Hulkenberg was THIS CLOSE to the 2021 Red Bull seat...until Sergio Perez changed everything.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsHelmut Marko has finally said it on the record. Nico Hulkenberg was on the brink of partnering Max Verstappen in the RB16B for 2021, helped by his ServusTV link and a reputation as a safe bank for points to respond to Mercedes. Then Perez won in Bahrain, momentum swung and Red Bull chose recent proof at the sharp end. We all now wonder how close the talks REALLY got, why team chemistry mattered and whether Nico’s driving style might have clicked faster with that car than Checo’s did. This story also fits a larger pattern in Nico’s career. Red Bull SO Wants Alex Albon Back

Red Bull SO Wants Alex Albon Back

Max stays for now but Red Bull is changing fast and Alex Albon is suddenly part of the story.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsWith Christian Horner out and Laurent Mekies running the shop while Helmut Marko steps into co-director, the tone inside Milton Keynes looks different. Verstappen calls this a slight rebuild, not a teardown but that shift, plus pressure and pride from Red Bull’s Thai side and a government keen on a Bangkok race, puts Albon back in the frame perhaps. Would he actually bite? James Vowles keeps spotlighting Albon’s growth at Williams where consistency has tightened up and results back it up against serious company. This is why sponsors care and why his stock keeps climbing.Add the Thailand connection and a growing Southeast Asia fanbase and you get a sporting and commercial package that makes sense. The 2025 F1 Hungarian Grand Prix WINNERS & LOSERS

The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix turned the F1 world upside down with yet another Lando Norris twist AND some surprise winners...and big losers.Climb the ladder with me over on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsMcLaren celebrated a landmark 200th victory in F1 as Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri delivered a commanding 1-2 finish, showing off perfect teamwork and strategy as Ferrari folded in awkward fashion. Gabriel Bortoleto stole the spotlight with a career-best drive to sixth holding off legends and proving he’s here to stay as a rapidly interesting rookie. Aston Martin bounced back into form with strong finishes from Alonso and Stroll while George Russell secured another podium for Mercedes thanks to going back on failing upgrades and cooler weather. Liam Lawson continued to raise eyebrows with another points finish keeping the Racing Bulls in the midfield battle and Isack Hadjar wishing for better fortunes. The action-packed weekend wasn’t all celebrations though as Ferrari and Charles Leclerc failed to convert a pole to a shock win and just...lost it. Not as badly as Red Bull though who struggled with grip and strategy with Verstappen and Tsunoda missing out on all but two points...oh dear! The 2025 F1 Belgian Grand Prix WINNERS & LOSERS

The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix gave me a headache. Sure it was delayed a lot but McLaren kept me on edge!Climb the ladder with me over on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsOscar Piastri stamped his authority at Spa with a telling response to Lando Norris on Sunday as well as a standout Sprint pole, leading McLaren to their first 1-2 at this track in over two decades. Leclerc struck back for Ferrari after a rough Silverstone, outpacing Verstappen in the main race, suggesting their upgrade might have potential in the second half of 2025. Alex Albon impressed again defending brilliantly from Hamilton while Liam Lawson and Gabriel Bortoleto quietly continued their rise in the midfield bringing home crucial points for their teams; and Hamilton reminded fans what he can do with a car dialed in when he needed it.On the other side, Mercedes struggled more heavily than expected whilst Aston Martin floundered with poor execution and Carlos Sainz? Once again hampered by a string of strategy blunders. Tsunoda and Hulkenberg had promising moments but were ultimately let down by missed calls. Who else won, lost or were meh this weekend? Adrian Newey Exposes How Far Aston Martin Fell

Aston Martin’s future in Formula 1 looked bleak...but then Adrian Newey turned up. Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsAston Martin nearly missed the boat on the 2026 F1 regulations before legendary designer Adrian Newey arrived to overhaul the project. Newey’s arrival came just in time with the team WAY behind on development thanks to, perhaps, major crises the last two seasons. How IS he taking control of every aspect of the AMR26? Why do both Fernando Alonso and Andy Cowell believe this could be a turning point for the team? Has the team managed to turn the corner simply with his presence in place...it certainly seems so!The drama of Lance Stroll’s negativity is there though, plus the pressure of Alonso’s legacy, we cover the real challenges here and what needs to happen for Aston Martin to avoid another season of frustration.
