A Conversation with "Little, Crazy Children: A True Crime Tragedy of Lost Innocence" Author James Renner on the Murder Of Lisa Pruett

Back in September 1990, Lisa Pruett, a sixteen year old resident of Shaker Heights, Ohio, slipped out of her house for a late night rendezvous with her boyfriend. She never made it home. They found her body the next morning; she had been stabbed to death just about 30 feet from her boyfriend’s house.

A man named Kevin Young ended up being charged with the crime.

But he was acquitted. Yet that didn’t remove the clouds of doubt around him; law enforcement investigators and others believe Kevin got away with murder. Others maintain it was a travesty that he was even charged with the crime in the first place.

Now James Renner steps into the fray with LITTLE CRAZY CHILDREN, a meticulously reported new book on the subject. Renner- a reporter with a long track record of investigating and writing about true crime- came to this story convinced that Kevin was wrongfully charged and that another man was in fact responsible for the crime.
