Sense8 season 2, episode 8, “All I Want Right Now is One More Bullet”
- Synopsis
- Jonas lives! (Someone saw this coming)
- We'd have to be crazy to 100% trust Jonas, especially since his life is tied to Whispers now.
- Capheus gets a visit from an old adversary who holds him at gunpoint.
- Lito visits everyone in his misery and depression.
- Sun reminds him of everything he has to be grateful for, and Lito reminds her that it's okay to have a good cry now and again.
- Lito's career may be in flux after being let go by his agent, but he definitely has a path ahead if he wants to take it.
- Sun is hiding at a "love hotel" in Seoul. Cash only, easy to stay hidden.
- Sun's brother is going to host the gala, and she's going to hide in plain sight as a bartender thanks to Lito's flashy skills.
- We're a little frustrated with Kala's storyline. She's cheating on him, and the show is making Rajan awful to make her seem less awful.
- Will is just kind of tagging along with everyone else in this episode as he considers dipping back into the heroin. Kala helps him resist.
- Whispers talk time.
- Riley and Diego are on the hunt for the academic. Will chimes in as necessary.
- Nomi is down for the count thanks to a pair of troublesome heels, so Bug/Amanita facetime Riley/Diego and it's nice to see Amanita get some connection to another of the sensates.
- Lila's shadiness comes to a head in this episode as she pulls Wolfgang into a trap (that he's well aware he's walking into).
- The newbies aren't really invested in Lila's story.
- It was really cool to see all the sensates reacting to Wolfgang and Lila's fight.

- Favorite Lines

Listener Feedback:
- An email from a listener regarding Kala's importance (and a link to an important article).
- A second email brings up some Capheus inconsistencies and addresses some of our Angelica concerns.

Caitlin's Conjectures and Kristen's Kontemplations:
- Sense8 season 2, episode 9, “What Family Actually Means”

Episode #4 - 'Firefly' 1x04 'Shindig'

Episode #4 - 'Firefly' 1x04 'Shindig'

ReWatchable is here for another episode! This week we discuss the fourth episode of Firefly, "Shindig." Don't forget that this podcast is spoiler-free, featuring both Firefly fans and newbies. So it's safe for everyone to listen! Shownotes: - From the newbies: Kristen loves Kaylee, but Tariq wasn't impressed by the episode. - Mal's dialogue dominates our favorite lines. - Laura gives us a little behind-the-scenes information about Summer Glau. - Is Mal a hero, a thief, or a little bit of both? - Companions are well respected, but they're also treated like property. - Why the HELL would Inara go for Atherton? - Did Mal really need a date to the ball or was this a way to make things up to Kaylee? - It was cool seeing Kaylee step out of her tom-boy clothes and into that pink, frilly dress. - Laura poses a question to the newbies - how innocent do they think Kaylee is? - Have Book, Simon, and River been accepted into the Serenity family? - Tariq does not like Jayne. - Is life on Serenity changing the newcomers? - There has to be more going on with Shepherd Book. Everyone is curious about his back story. - If no one trusts Jayne, why do they keep him around? - We make more Harry Potter references. Of course. - Tariq connects the floating chandelier to the TARDIS. No, really. - Why did Mal defend Inara's honor? - Do Inara and Mal have a thing for each other? - Who does Tariq ship himself with?? - Were we surprised that Mal left Atherton alive? - The cargo was...cows!? - Do we think Inara would've left Serenity if Atherton wasn't such a jerk? - Would Inara have made a similar sacrifice for anyone else besides Mal? Feedback: - Another Doctor Who reference! - Can we think of the Serenity screw as a family? Where do each of them fall on the family tree? - Tariq doesn't like Book either. Just like Selina, he thinks he's EVIL. - Apparently Adam Baldwin wanted Jayne to end up with Inara, but we don't think Inara would EVER go for that. What did you think about "Shindig?" Don't forget that this podcast is spoiler-free, featuring both Firefly fans and newbies. So it's safe for everyone to listen! Shownotes: - Selina doesn't like the way she opens the podcast. Never again! - Everyone is scared to watch this episode. We're glad we're watching it together! - We made a discovery when we started editing - if you're watching this on Netflix, make sure you move past the wild Shepherd Book that appears at the beginning to intro the episode. - Wash is wearing pajama pants. This is why we love him. - More evidence that Jayne has a thing for Kaylee. - Did the Academy force River to play the ball game? - The girls are a little focused on fashion today. - Is River super intelligent or can she really see the future? - Book is like their Jiminy Cricket, except he's EVIL. - Zoe and Mal are the warriors. - Kristin figured it out. River is a Horcrux. - Simon got off easy considering what he did to Jayne. - Selina does an impression of the machines talking to Kaylee... - More Harry Potter references! - Kristin realizes she does care about Jayne. - Reavers! We're all creeped out by them. - Is it just the war that made Mal so nonreligious, or something else? - We're surprised by how much horror and gore can be allowed on television. - Inara seems to be more moral than most of the other passengers. - We sympathize with the rebels. - We love the cut scenes between everyone on the Alliance ship. - Kristin is protective of Wash's dinosaurs. - The Alliance thinks River and Simon are under...the place mats? - Mal could have turned River and Simon over, but he didn't. - We're all just a little grossed out about the guy's pin-cushion face. - Immediate post-episode reaction from Kristin: It was really good! What did YOU think about "Bushwhacked?" Do you like when we do the episodes as a commentary? Comment on this post, email us at rewatchable.podcast@gmail.com, or tweet us @Re_Watchable.

Simon/Kaylee, Mal/Inara exposition scene - Selina and Kristen think that Shephard Book is hella shady - Cartoonish villains, muahaha - A Simon/Kaylee/Jayne love triangle?! - Would Mal turn River over to the Alliance? - Mal and Zoe pretending to be married - Another example of a bad guy playing a good guy - Inara proves why she's useful - Jayne saves Mal... but why? - Are Jayne and Mal two sides of the same coin? - Mal is the worst criminal ever. And he has no time for your evil revenge speeches - "Two by two, hands of blue." What does it mean?! - Favourite scenes and quotes - We check in on how we're feeling about the characters in the second episode - Caitlin and Kristen are shocked when their favourite character is dissed! - Listener feedback: new Firefly fans, old Firefly fans, and Firefly flans (mmm, yummy) And that's the show!
