Ep 32 - Navigating Wellness Through the Holidays: Tips from Two Coaches

Welcome to a special holiday episode of our podcast, where I chat with my friend and fellow health coach, Kim Hynes.

Kim Hynes is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist whose goal is to help 40+ women give themselves permission to eat, lose weight intuitively, and feel confident in their bodies…all without restrictive dieting. She works with women in menopause to overcome emotional and stress eating, learn the habits and framework needed to lose weight intuitively and feel balanced in their midlife bodies.

In this festive episode, we share practical tips and strategies for a healthy and joyful holiday season without a restrictive diet plan.

Our focus is on balancing health and food choices while fully enjoying the holiday spirit with family, friends, and festivities.

Navigating Holiday Meals:

· Addressing the stress and pressure often associated with holiday meals.

· Providing insights on managing blood sugar with mindful food choices without giving up traditions.

· Encouraging balanced eating and eliminating shame and guilt around choices.

Personal Experiences:

· Kim and I share our own experiences with holiday eating and shifting from guilt to satisfaction.

· Discussing the impact of alcohol on blood sugar and making mindful food choices.

Staying Active and Healthy:

· Prioritizing exercise routines during the holidays and celebrating small victories.

· Exploring how movement can assist in blood sugar management, boost energy, and elevate mood.

Managing Stress and Expectations:

· Acknowledging the challenges of stress during the holidays and advocating for self-care and gratitude.

· Encouraging open communication and setting boundaries to navigate stressful interactions with your guests.

· Offer tips for taking breaks and finding humor in unexpected situations.

Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season filled with joy, balanced choices, and the warmth of shared moments.

XOXO,

Melissa and Kim!
